

2023 Ballot Vacancies
The York County Board of Elections has notified the Democratic Party of several ballot vacancies that have become available due to various reasons. These positions will appear on the 2023 General Election Ballot.
The process for being considered for these positions is to submit your resume and letter of interest to the York Dems no later than close of business on Monday, August 28, 2023. Once submitted, the Executive Committee of the Democratic Party of York County will select a candidate at their scheduled Wednesday, August 30 meeting. Individuals seeking these positions should plan to appear before the Executive Committee on August 30 (via Zoom). If not available, the Executive Committee will make a decision based on the materials submitted.
Open Ballot Positions for 2023 General Election
Hanover Borough Council - 5th Precinct
This is an unexpired two-year position. Only those who live in the 5th precinct of Hanover borough are eligible to be considered.
New Salem Mayor
Only residents of New Salem borough are eligible to be considered.
Northeastern School Board - Region 2
This is an unexpired two-year position. Only residents of Northeastern School District - Region 2 are eligible to be considered.
Hanover Public School Board
This is a full four-year term. Only residents of Hanover Public School district are eligible to be considered.
Northern York School Board
This is a full four-year term. Only residents of Northern York School district are eligible to be considered.
Southern York School Board
This is a full four-year term. Only residents of Souther York School district are eligible to be considered.
Manchester Township Supervisor
This is a full six-year term. Only residents of Manchester Township are eligible to be considered.
Magesterial Judge - District 19-3-10
This is a full ten-year term. Only residents of Dillsburg, Franklintown, Wellsville Boroughs, Carroll, Franklin, Monaghan, Warrington, and Washington Townships. This position also serves 83 north and southbound lanes North of Exit 28 to York/Cumberland County Line are eligible to be considered.
